Compliance concerns all of us

Compliance with legal regulations and company-internal guidelines, takes top priority for Südzucker. Only by adhering to rules we can protect our company, our employees and business partners against infringements and inappropriate behaviour. Therefore, it is important to us to counteract potential malpractice directly and as early as possible. For this we also need your help. If you have any information on compliance-relevant issues, such as anticompetitive behaviour, corruption or violations of our code of conduct, please let us know. You should also report to us human rights violations or violations of environmental or occupational safety provisions (e.g. violations within the meaning of the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act). We have set up the ‘Südzucker Compliance Line' for this purpose.

The ‘Südzucker Compliance Line' is operated by an external provider who does not have access to the content or data of your report or your personal data. The system is accessible to employees of the Südzucker Group and to outside third parties, e.g. customers or business partners. In addition, employees can contact our compliance officer, a superior or the local works council as before.

The ‘Südzucker Compliance Line' allows for the anonymous reporting of incidents. However, we prefer that whistleblowers identify themselves, as many investigations can be carried out faster and more effectively if the name of the whistleblower is known.

Irrespective of whether you contact the ‘Südzucker Compliance Line' with information or reach out directly to the compliance officer, your superior or the works council, your information will be treated strictly confidential. You are protected as a whistleblower.

Please use the ‘Südzucker Compliance Line' responsibly. It must not be abused to defame others or to make false claims. Therefore, you should only provide us with information that you believe to be correct to the best of your knowledge and belief. Whistleblowers who submit reports in good faith will not suffer any adverse consequences.
